Team registration, meet dates, pinestraw, suits & more

WAVES Families:

Just a few things to note in your calendar:

TEAM REGISTRATION (in person 3/29--changed): We will ask that ALL families complete an online registration (available soon) and choose to pay online via credit card or in person with a check. This year, registration will open first to Chatsworth resident for 1 week and then to all swim families and finally any new families. We had a large, wonderful team last year and I'm sure we'll be able to have everyone back who wants to return, but we do need to set a limit for pool safety. When ONLINE registration opens, please registration ASAP b/c we will close it once full. We hope to have online registration up by the end of the weekend.

SWIM SUIT FITTING/ORDERING 3/29: We will have representatives from the swim suit shop on hand SUNDAY, MARCH 29th from 4:40-6:30. There swimmers may try on and purchase suits. You will still have the option to order online too.

MEET CALENDAR: Since we were undefeated last season, we are the 2014 Bronze Division Champions (woo hoo), and moved up to the SILVER division. This summer our meets will be on MONDAYS, with the exception of the first week b/c of Memorial Day. We will host two home meets and travel to 3 aways meets. All teams are very close by. Here is the schedule:
TUESDAY - May 26th (AWAY) Chatsworth @ Arbor Bridge (behind Lassiter)
MONDAY - June 1st (AWAY) Chatsworth @ Falcon Woods (just passed Davis on Wigley)
MONDAY - June 8th (HOME) Chastain Lakes @ Chatsworth
MONDAY - June 15th (HOME) Woodbine @ Chatsworth
MONDAY - June 22nd (AWAY) Chatsworth @ Jefferson Township (off Sandy Plains)

FEEDBACK NEEDED: When online registration is LIVE, we'll ask for some feedback on:
Banquet: morning or evening
Professional Photos for team and individual: yes or no
Spirit wear: Yes or now (hoodies, sweatshirts, caps, towels, shorts, etc.)

FUTURE LEADERS: We are very thankful and happy to announce that Elena Venuti and Shelly Wines have agreed to shadow Angie and I this season to learn the ropes and ultimately take over the team in 2016. While Angie and I will never completely leave swim team as long as our children are still swimming, it's time to hand over the reigns to a new generation of coordinators. When you see Elena and Shelly, please thank them and continue to give your amazing support.
