    WAVES Win!

    WAVES Families,

The WAVES won tonight vs. Woodbine Station (489-371 or about that) and it was not easy.  Woodbine is a very strong team with great swimmers.  A well earned win for the WAVES for sure!

Our parents really shined tonight not only in dealing with the mighty high temps and humidity, but especially in the parent relays.  Chatsworth Dads took home first and the Moms second!  Way to go!

Tonight was a tough meet with an emergency situation on deck.  A big thank you to Betty Miller & Deb Jeskey who jumped in to action when medical attention was needed.  For those who didn't realize, it was a pretty serious situation.   A 16 year old from Woodbine fainted and hit his head on the brick wall.  He was unconscious and needed immediate medical attention and went to the ER.  By the end of the night, their coach reported that he was doing well and probably suffered a concussion.  Thank you to everyone for your support.

Finally, we had a final swim for Coaches Cassie Franklin & Claire Tadeo.  Coach Alex Riely was home sick, so we'll give him a send off @ Jefferson Township next week.  All three of our swimmers and coaches have been WAVES since they were very little---even as early as 3 years old!  We wish them all the best of luck in college in the Fall.

Tomorrow is our LAST Fun Day from 10-11am for all swimmers.  See you then.

    GO WAVES!
