Protocol for rain delays
June 14th
WAVES families,
We have a high chance of thunderstorms during our meet tonight so we would like to remind our families to follow the rain delay protocol:
- Our goal is to get to event 46 (after which the meet can be considered "complete")
- Coordinators will provide updates. Check your email and team Facebook page (facebook.com/chatsworth.waves)
- If we ask everyone to clear the deck, please remain in your cars close by until further instruction
- 30-minute delays for every thunder clap or delays for heavy downpours because swimmers can't see the bottom of the pool
- Only the referee and both coordinators together can "call the meet".
- Please pack extra towels/umbrellas.
Hopefully your swimmers are resting and hydrating. We'll see everyone at 4:30 PM. Warm-ups for Waves are at 5-5:30 PM.
