WAVES Practice Guidelines & Meet RSVPs
Hello Waves families,
A few additional notes about practice guidelines (also posted on the website under Team Manual -> Practice Guidelines):
- We hold open practices, and the parents are welcome to stay in the pool area. However, we ask that parents please refrain from talking with the coaches during practices. This will help the coaches stay focused and ensure swimmers' safety. If you have a concern, please speak with a coach after the practice is over or email the coordinator.
- Starting this season, we will be using fins on a daily basis. Here is an example of fins we like. Fins are not required, but are strongly recommended in order to improve swimmers' body position in the water and their technique. If you could purchase and bring fins for your child(ren) with their names on them by the time we begin morning practices or prior to that, that would be great.
- We recommend that swimmers practice with their age group, however if you have children in adjacent age groups, a child may move up or down so the siblings may practice together (if the child's skills who is moving to another age group is similar to the skills of that group).
SWIM MEET RSVPs:
If you already know that you will be in or out of town on our meet days (5/30, 6/6, 6/13, 6/20, 6/27), please RSVP now by going to our website and clicking on Swim Meets. This is not available on all mobile devices. Click on the RSPV button next to a meet and enter an email address that you registered with. Your children's names will be displayed and you can click on whether they are available or not. If a meet is rained out, we will make it up on the following Thursday.
Thank you, and please reply to this email if you have questions.
GO WAVES!
