We understand emergencies come up, so IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE A LAST MINUTE CHANGE AND DECIDE TO SWIM OR NOT TO SWIM, PLEASE TEXT COACH CASSIE AT 404-805-9139  by Tuesday at noon.

WHAT TO BRING:  Your team T-SHIRTS (parents and swimmers), swimsuits (MAKE SURE THE SUITS DO NOT HAVE LOGOS OF OTHER TEAMS), an extra pair of goggles, swim cups if you use them, chairs, umbrellas, extra towels, money for concessions, extra dry clothes, mark all clothes with your name, camera.

SWIM MEET ARRIVAL TIME:  5 PM
Swimmers: check in with the coaches for your events. There will be a small piece of paper tacked to a bulletin board. Swimmers may take their events from the board. This tells us that they have arrived. Warm-ups for our team start at 5:30 PM.

Parents: check in with the volunteer coordinators for the evening’s duties. Please initial next to your name to indicate that you have arrived. Meeting for Place Judges and Timers with the referee is at 5:45 PM. Location TBD, listen for the announcement.

The Parent Wave: 5:55 PM after the swimmers' cheer with Coach Maxwell.

MEET LOCATION: Dorset neighborhood is on Hembree Road next to Pope High School. The address is 3050 Hembree Road, Marietta, GA 30062. 
The road outside Pope is currently closed due to construction.  You cannot reach the neighborhood via Post Oak Tritt Road.  Please make sure come via Shallowford Road to Lassiter Road or North Hembree Road.

PARKING: Parking near the pool is very limited. Street parking in the subdivision. There is NO PARKING on Hembree Road.  Parking will be on the 2nd entrance of Weymouth Drive and/or Cranborne Chase. 

CONCESSIONS: The Dorset Diner will be offering hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, nachos, watermelon drinks, candy, chips, and miscellaneous items.  

WEATHER: Please stay tuned to email and the team Facebook page for updates about the weather.  Once we are there, if there is thunder or lightning, the deck must be cleared.  Go to your cars and await further instruction. Do not go home. We must wait 30 minutes every time thunder/lightning occurs.  If it looks like it is not going to clear or if the storms turn dangerous, then both team coordinators will meet with the Cobb County Official and make a decision as to how to proceed.

CODE OF CONDUCT AT SWIM MEETS:

1. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the fenced pool area during a meet.
2. Unruly, disruptive or unsafe conduct may be cause for removal from the fenced pool area.
3. Please be reminded that jumping in at the end of a swim meet is prohibited and will result in a forfeit.

We would like to remind all parents to exhibit good sportsmanship toward coaches, fellow teammates, opposing swimmers and parents, and, most importantly, the referees. The Cobb Summer Swim League’s protocol to handle unsportsmanlike conduct to referees include: possibly removing parent(s) from the pool area, calling police, cancelling the meet resulting in forfeiture. Let's support our kids and let them have some swimming fun!
