It was another great home meet against a team that we tied with last season. We had a similar number of total swimmers, got almost the same number of DQs today for both teams, but Falcon Woods were a bit stronger than us tonight. We swam up 9 kids today due to many absences, which was not easy, and we are thankful to those who stepped up. We also had first time ever meet participants, and that was amazing to watch!

We know you can see the DQs for your child's events in the Swimtopia App, but please don't mention it to the kids if you think it will negatively affect them. We certainly do not single any child out. We will award a ribbon based on the place they earned in their heat, and will work on improving their skills.

Thank you to all parent volunteers who helped us run the meet. Home meets are a big production and require a lot of you to step up. We could not have done it without everyone's help. We are all volunteers on deck except for the referee and the coaches who are paid.

Fun Day on Thursday morning 10-11 AM: mini-donuts, watermelon, ribbons and Little Waves races.

Thursday evening: practice, treats and ribbons for the evening swimmers.

Next week we will race in our final meet against Woodbine Station Warriors at an away meet. Please let us know if your swimmer is available and pick your job at the meet.
