5th meet info
Hello Waves families!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend!
HOME SWIM MEET ON JUNE 24 AGAINST ARBOR BRIDGE GATORS:
IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER: There is a chance of t-storms tomorrow evening. When in doubt, please check your email before heading to the pool. If thunder or lightning occur during the meet, all families will need to clear the deck, but DO NOT GO HOME. Go to your cars and watch for further instructions from the coordinators via email and Facebook. We will make a decision and let you know when to return to the pool or if we decide not to continue.
Regarding what happened at the last meet during the weather delay: we proposed to end the meet, however the opposing team as well as the official chose to continue. We did not agree with the official’s decision to continue after our parents reported lightning in the parking lot. We requested the lifeguard to watch the sky and had there been one more flash of lightning seen at the pool, we would have stopped the meet regardless of the official’s decision. We would like to assure our families that as coordinators we will always act in the interest of our team first.
Please make sure swimmers who are competing on Monday night get plenty of rest on Monday afternoon prior to the meet.
RSVP IS CLOSED FOR THE MEET.
You are now able to view your swimmer’s events in the SwimTopia app. IF YOUR SWIMMER IS UNABLE TO SWIM, PLEASE TEXT COACH ASHLEY AT 770-769-6028 ASAP. The lineup is final and changes will be made in case of an emergency only. Thank you for your understanding

CODE OF CONDUCT AT SWIM MEETS:
FOR SWIMMERS: “Be Loud, Be Proud, Be Positive”
At Chatsworth Waves, we are committed to creating a positive environment at all practices and competitions by promoting good sportsmanship by our swimmers, coaches and parents. We ask all swimmers to represent themselves and our team with the highest level of sportsmanship:
- Cheer for your team, not against the opponents.
- No cheating
- No inappropriate comments about other swimmers, coaches, or officials.
FOR PARENTS:
1. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the fenced pool area during a meet.
2. Unruly, disruptive or unsafe conduct may be cause for removal from the fenced pool area.
3. Please be reminded that jumping in at the end of a swim meet is prohibited and will result in a forfeit.
We would like to remind all parents to exhibit good sportsmanship toward coaches, fellow teammates, opposing swimmers and parents, and, most importantly, the referees. The Cobb Summer Swim League’s protocol to handle unsportsmanlike conduct to referees include: possibly removing parent(s) from the pool area, calling police, cancelling the meet resulting in forfeiture. Let's support our kids and let them have some swimming fun!
TACO MAC AFTER PARTY: Join your teammates and coaches at Taco Mac at 685 Crossville Road, Roswell (Trader Joe’s Plaza, open until 12 AM).
