We have 20 swimmers out this week and 4 are still undeclared. Please check your RSVP status, and please respond to the head coaches’ text message regarding your swimmer’s availability.

We understand emergencies come up, so IF YOU HAVE TO MAKE A LAST MINUTE CHANGE AND DECIDE TO SWIM OR NOT TO SWIM, PLEASE TEXT COACH ASHLEY AT 770-769-6028. Additions to the roster will not be made after noon on Wednesday.

Parking spots are first come first serve in the lot for visitors unless they have a "reserved" sign on them. If you park on the street, please park on the right hand side to allow neighbors easy passage and allow for emergency vehicles.

The raised deck area is reserved for the WAVES. Please bring camp chairs as seating is limited. Please remind your younger swimmers to stay in the bullpen. Our bullpen parents are not babysitters and cannot chase down swimmers who have left their bullpen. Parents need to supervise younger children at the meets.

PLEASE NOTE: while everyone is welcome downstairs in the pavilion, there are to be NO swimmers or visiting team allowed in the upstairs of the pavilion. Swimmers are also NOT allowed to use the single restroom that is located next to concessions (under the pavilion). They must use the restrooms located directly in front of the pool. We also ask that swimmer stay off of the tennis courts.

Concessions will be offered at Windsor Oaks pavilion during the meet. They will be selling hot dogs, hamburgers, Chick fil-A sandwiches and pizza along with candy and drinks.

SWIM MEET ARRIVAL TIME: 5:00 PM

IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER: When in doubt, please check your email before heading to the pool. If thunder or lightning occur during the meet, all families will need to clear the deck and go to their cars and watch for further instructions from the coordinator via email. DO NOT LEAVE. The coordinators and the official will make a decision to either CONTINUE, TO RESCHEDULE OR TO COMPLETE THE MEET (if we complete event 46 heat 1 by that point) and let you know when to return to the pool or go home.

PARENT RELAY: Thank you to our Waves parents who stepped up last week (Lane Hammack, Katie Connolly, Maureen Kehoe, Elena Venuti, Brad Venuti, Rich Palumbo, Tristan Brown, Tyler Story) to swim in a parent relay! It was so much fun! Windsor Oaks has 3 teams of parents to swim a 4x50 free relay. Since there are only 2 lanes left for us, we can have 2 teams (moms and dads). Please let me know who would like to swim tomorrow night in the event 46B???

GRADUATING SENIORS: We will be recognizing 2 graduating seniors from our team (Ian Radley and Sam Quiroz) after event 46B. Please help us cheer them on during senior swim.

CODE OF CONDUCT AT SWIM MEETS FOR PARENTS:

    1. Smoking and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the fenced pool area during a meet.
    2. Unruly, disruptive or unsafe conduct may be cause for removal from the fenced pool area.
    3. Please be reminded that jumping in at the end of a swim meet is prohibited and will result in a forfeit.

We would like to remind all parents to exhibit good sportsmanship toward coaches, fellow teammates, opposing swimmers and parents, and, most importantly, the referees. The Cobb Summer Swim League’s protocol to handle unsportsmanlike conduct to referees include: possibly removing parent(s) from the pool area, calling police, cancelling the meet resulting in forfeiture. Let's support our kids and let them have some swimming fun!

TACO MAC AFTER PARTY: Join your teammates and coaches at Taco Mac at 685 Crossville Road, Roswell (Trader Joe’s Plaza).

NO FUN DAY – END OF THE SEASON PARTY
There will be no Fun Day on Thursday morning. End of the Season Party will take place on Thursday, 6/28 from 6 to 9 pm. Details will be emailed later.
